What’s Keeping Patients From Making An Appointment

Posted by | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 29-10-2009

Imagine for a moment you’re a dentist (assuming you aren’t) and a patient comes to your office for a root canal and asks “Have you done this before?” You answer with, “A million times”. And because of that simple answer, the fear in your patient’s face is replaced with a smile.

Imagine, a potential patient named Sarah looking at Yellow Pages wondering who among these dentists have done a million root canals before. Too bad, there’s no way for Sarah to ask you.

No matter how big or shiny your advertisements are, your potential patient don’t trust you. She needs you. She thinks you’re the best doctor for the job. But she’s afraid of making the wrong decision.

Patients hate the feeling of playing the guinea pig (who isn’t?). They want to know they are not the first one to try you out. They want to hear from Kate, Hannah, Scott, Gabriel, Kim, and dozens of others who were your patients before and would be happy to recommend you to anyone.

Customers want testimonials.

Testimonials reduce risks for your patients. If someone else says how great you are, how kind you are, or how wonderful you can be, it reduces the fear from your patients of making the wrong decision. It’s about you but unlike advertising, someone else is saying it. It’s more believable. It’s more credible.

You can always tell how great you are but your patients may not believe you. But what if they see not one, not two, not even fifty, but 500 testimonials? Can you imagine your credibility meter going off the chart?

Using testimonials is a powerful way to get closer to your customers and prove you can deliver. Keep asking for testimonials and publish the best ones. And you’ll never need to squeeze yourself in that the Yellow Pages again.

Custom Brochure Printing for Real Estate Companies

Posted by | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 29-10-2009

Most people dream of leaving that apartment in the city and moving into their own home in Suburbia. Realtors know this and they designed their brochures in very creative ways that leverage on a potential buyer’s desire of owning a new home. Pictures on a brochure may just be the push customers need to take the plunge. With so many options, what kind of brochure should you get? Here is a list of things that you should know before designing your brochures.

Things to Consider when Planning for your Brochure

What size is best for promoting real estate? Ask yourself another question. What product are you promoting? If you are promoting new homes, use flat page brochures. Many established real estate companies use flat-page brochures with sizes that range from 8.5 inches by 11 inches to 11 inches by 17 inches. Flat pages are good because there are no creases to distract customers from admiring the pictures. Make sure that it also contains all the relevant information on one side. Use high-resolution pictures that highlight the product in bright or low lighting.

How many brochures do you need? Check with your target market and possible events. If you plan to be at a trade show, expect a lot of foot traffic of those who are in the market for new homes. Get their attention by giving them a brochure each. This means you will need many brochures. For printing requirements 500 pieces and more, it is suggested that you go with offset printing where cost lowers with volume.

What is the recommended paper quality? Photos need to look impressive in a brochure. Real estate brochures are looked at a lot and are passed around just as much. Cardstock in a matte finish will survive a lot of mangling and manhandling. When placed inside a folder, a flat-page, cardstock, matte brochure will pitch more effectively than a small trifold.

UPrinting offers online brochure printing that can give you proof after proof at no added cost until you decide to print and ship your brochures.

Wholesale Headbands – Great Promo Product

Posted by | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 28-10-2009

Wholesale headbands with your companies logo will really make your event stand out. We’ve seen people use these custom headbands at sporting events, music concerts, promo events, construction sites, and more. The reason people buy wholesale headbands mainly is to stop sweat from ruining there game. Any places have started to produce personalized headbands with customized artwork. Whether wearing them at work or passing them out this works well to brand your company. Wholesale headbands are great to market your organizations image, both directly and indirectly. Wholesale sweatbands are a useful product. We will dig into exactly how they can be useful to your organization.

Wholesale Headbands for Basketball

Your basketball game can actually be improved with wholesale headbands. Sweat may really ruin your game, that is where wholesale headbands will help you greatly. By the time the fourth quarter hits most players are drenched in sweat. It’s tough to deal with sweat when playing at important moments in the game. This problem is not just that it’s annoying. Sweat will try and take away your eyes, which are the most important part of the game. This is where the magic of wholesale headbands come in. Since the headbands will catch all the sweat, you won’t have to worry about this affecting your game. But will it feel weird? Headbands are so light that there’s a good chance you’ll forget you have it on within minutes. You can also embroider your schools logo or mascot on the wholesale headbands. Now you can prevent sweat and at the same time look cool with wholesale headbands!

Custom Headbands for your Band

From my perspective, your band is in one of two positions. A musician that markets themselves with promotional items or a one that doesn’t. Having been in a band over 5 years, I know how to actively promote. Using music promo is extremely important. If you ignore it, you won’t be able to sell any merchandise in the future. Custom headbands are a unique product and also extremely effective. Ponder the following. Your group gets booked for a big show and there is a lot of excitement about it. There are going to be about 300 people at this event. It would be great if every person at the event could somehow remember your group. Since you know everyone will not buy merch, it’s good to hand out some sort of promotional product. At the same time, you don’t have $3000 to spend on custom shirts. Custom headbands really come in handy at this point. They are the best choice for two reasons. Most people will wear these as soon as they get them and they are very low price. This means that the whole crowd worships your band by the time you get on. There is no way you could have done the same with shirts because chances are no one would have put them on for days, weeks, months, or years later. Custom headbands are great to use with musicians and event promo.

Good Construction Practices – Personalized Headbands

When thinking of construction you think warm temperatures, orange, sweat, sweat, and more sweat. The best thing to keep the sweat out of your eye is personalized headbands. Many construction companies buy wholesale headbands for their whole crew.Whether they are no logo or logo headbands, makes no difference. These personalized headbands will actually make your workers more efficient for the simple reason that they won’t have to deal with sweat in their eyes. In this case, wholesale headbands can definitely help your employees out. Since they don’t have to worry about sweat in their face so much, it’s likely that they will make less mistakes at important times.

Branding yourself – an inspirational marketing idea

Posted by | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 28-10-2009

What is “branding yourself” mean? This means getting your name and face out there so people know who you really are. The internet is very saturated with the “next best business opportunity”. People want to “see” other people, not just the next big opportunity. People that are searching for something to do to create more time and income are looking to work with real people! Get your name and face out there. People are going to recognize your face and name and are going to feel more comfortable in connecting with you. There are many reasons personally branding yourself will affect you in your business or any other opportunity you are seeking.

Using the many social media tools we have now like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and Squidoo, are great ways to get you name and face out there. Be very active with these sites. Share informative links that will help people.  Don’t pitch your products or business, people will definitely get turned off by this.  People will soon know the person you are by the way you talk and carry yourself. How many people out there want to work with someone they have never met?

Video marketing is HUGE right now. Getting to actually see people in their own environment will also make potential prospects feel better about you and possibly joining your opportunity.  Some say they don’t like doing videos.  Trust me, start doing them. You won’t be perfect at doing them, but you will get better.  All these ways are FREE! (unless you don’t own a video camara).

Tell your story! The human brain responds to stories. People buy people. There are many individuals who have been in the same situation at one time, so they will relate to you this way.  Share your stories and experiences. We all have stories about our pasts.  People will respond to those from-the-heart stories.

Establish yourself as an expert in authority. People will definitely feel more comfortable working with someone that know what they’re talking about.  So get your profiles set up on all your social media sites and make sure they are 100% done.  Make sure you provide as much information to others by having links to other authorities in your industry.

Be creative. I know you may not have all the knowledge to compete with the established successful entrepeneurs in the competitive mind. Being creative will show people that you have a lot value to bring to others in a different way.  Figure out what you can do to be more creative.  This will take some time.  I always believe a creative mind will always outduel a competitive mind.

Thanks for your time. Hopefully this helps you move a little more forward in your business.

Is it time to reevaluate your firm name?

Posted by | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 28-10-2009

As I tell all of my clients, a true legal marketing plan starts by first defining your firm’s personality. Are you established, serious attorneys with a wealth of cases and clients? Or are you young, casual, creative thinkers out to change the world? Or are you somewhere in between? Believe it or not, it all starts with your firm name.

So what’s in a name? Our number one rule for firms looking to update their marketing plan is this: shorter is better. Shorter firm names are easier to remember, easier to say and easier to design a visual identity around. Of course, shortening a firm name is never easy. Most partners have worked for years to get their name on the firm letterhead, which makes cutting it down an incredibly sensitive subject. Here are our top tips for handling the inevitable task of shortening a name.

Prove it.

Try this test. Tell five people your firm’s name. A few days later ask them to recall it in its entirety. If they can’t remember… you know you have work to do. Ask your partners to do the same and they’ll be able to see firsthand that stringing together five, six or seven names just makes more work for potential clients.

Stick to three or less.

Two (or even three names) seems to be the magic number for most firms. Look around and listen up. How do people within the firm refer to it? I would venture to guess it’s by the first two or three names. Sticking to two names also gives firm leadership an edge in softening the blow for those whose names may get cut. Usually the first two names are the most senior partners or founders. Seniority is always a fair argument.

Be concise and memorable.

Remember those two words: Concise and Memorable. Listen to the names and hear how they flow, see how they look together on paper and understand what would make something memorable to a potential client. Trust your instincts.

Compromise.

Consider shortening the firm name for branding purposes only. The legal name can stay the same and all “name” partners can be included in firm materials. This idea worked well for a former client of mine who had a tough time convincing four of the six partners to let their name disappear from the logo. In the end we created a fabulous visual identity using the first two names, yet included the remaining four underneath the logo on printed materials and below the address line on firm letterhead. It updated the look and feel of the firm’s branding while acknowledging the years of work by all six partners.

Set a precedent.

If your firm currently has only two or three partners, set the short-name rule in motion immediately. Make it clear as partners are named, that they will be included in the legal name of the firm, but not in the branding and visual identity.

Firm names are a tricky subject, but ultimately your first opportunity to create a lasting impression on potential clients. If all else fails never be afraid to call in a marketing professional or consultant. Sometimes the truth is easier to swallow from a stranger. By approaching the discussion from a branding and marketing point of view you can, together, navigate the waters and achieve a delicate balance of personality, simplicity, memorability and ego.

Affiliate Marketing

You see when you become a affiliate marketer, you will find there is no inventory or product creation and you’ll also fall upon on some successful affiliates.  You get to sell for vendors who are “top” in their niche and have a proven product.  When you distribute and show their website and someone pays for through your free affiliate link you’ll get paid….

Online Auctions

Weve all heard of EBAY and it’s still the quickest way to make money from home.  Selling your stuff from home or someone else makes it very easy.  You can choose to dropship and if you have some investment funds you may even go into wholesale distribution, but still success in ebay will call for you to learn how to market.

What Is The Phone Broadcast Club?

Posted by | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 27-10-2009

All Business owners today are seeking cost ways to increase sales and decreasing spending. While more and more individuals are using voicemail broadcasting to generate leads can voicemail broadcast be considered an effective marketing tool?
The Phone Broadcast Club has recently emerged as a service that gives you the ability to contact hundreds or even thousands of highly targeted prospects with the simple click of a button but how cost effective is this system?
How does the system work?
Club members receive immediate access to the members area upon payment. Each member will create a user name and password that will give them access to the members area.
There is no software to download and you system can virtually be set up within minutes.
1. Make a decision on which leads you will use in the system: MLM Genealogy leads or Business to Business leads, purchase wholesale leads from Phone Broadcast Club or upload your own purchased leads from an outside vendor. 2. Let the system know what time and day you would like to broadcast to begin and end 3. Upload your phone list 4. Either use one of the pre-recorded professional voice messages provided in the back office or call a special number and record your message over the phone. 5. Test the call to insure everything is working properly then press send to broadcast the call to your prospect.
Pros
Similar systems can run you anywhere from $500 – $10,000. Phone Broadcast Club has made this system affordable for everyone at a cost of $100 plus a one time set-up fee of $25.00 and a $24.95 monthly fee for maintenance, access to leads, etc.

Extensive training is provided via video, training manual and webinar. Members can also receive one on one support via telephone or email.
The cost to send a 30 second connect call can cost as much as 12 cents per call with many companies. The Phone broadcast Club wholesale cost for a 30 second connect call is 1.8 cents per minute making it one of the most affordable voicemail broadcasting systems available.
Over 15 professional voice recorded messages are available to club members at no additional cost. Members can simply download the recorded calls to their computer then upload them into the voicemail broadcasting system.
The Phone Broadcast Club seems to understand the need for its members to start earning immediately. The Phone Broadcast Club has added a reverse 2 up compensation plan which allows members to earn $100 on their first, third training sale and every sale after the fourth sale. The second and forth training sales are passed up to their enroller.
The Phone Broadcast Club provides a scrub against the Do Not Call List and also has a feature which will give you the option of blocking calls to cellular numbers. This is extremely important as it is against the law to make a sales call to cellular number without the prospects authorization since the prospects has to pay for the call.
Cons.

Noteholder leads lists – The best advice to make the most of your list

Posted by | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 27-10-2009

Notehodler leads are public records that will provide you the basic details of a private trust deed note that has been create through the sale of real property. This information will allow you to know who has created such a note through a private sale. With this data you can then begin a marketing process to contact these note holders and find those who are interested in selling part or all of their note for cash.

The cashflow industry is a great opportunity for many to make money. it is important if you are planning on working the cashflow note business that you understand what it really takes and hwo to do it effectively. It is important that you understand and accept that not every person who has a created a note wants to sell it. It is a great
investment after all. So you must learn to opperate in a professional and consistent manner in order to find those who will want to sell and to be there when they are ready to sell.

The first step is to find the individuals to talk to. Maybe they have created a note in the past in which case their information has been recorded and is available as public record. You can find this data yourself or you can pay a service who has done the work of gathering the data for you. Once you have the private note data you must begin to market your business effectively to let these noteholders know you exist. For many of them you may need to present yourself multiple times.

It is also important to remember that you need to be prepared for a long term marketing campaign. Anytime you work with a direct marketing approach you are working a numbers game. If you get enough marketing pieces out there to the right people you will begin to see success. It is vital that you make contact to thousands of contacts. Your response rate may often be 1% or less to your marketing piece.

If you have a list of a few thousand people you are mailing to each month then you will be able to see more return from such a business. Get your quality Note Holder Leads today from www.NoteDocs.com

7 Valuable “Secrets” For Photography Marketing Success – Both Online and Off Line

Posted by | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 27-10-2009

“Doing business without advertising is like winking at a girl in the dark.  You know what you are doing, but nobody else does.”  – Stuart H. Britt, New York Herald Tribune

Charles Lewis here, at Charles Lewis Photography, and I’ve spent over 30 years discovering, testing, PROVING, and perfecting the most effective techniques for marketing and selling portrait and wedding photography.  I did this for one reason, and one reason only – I wanted to make a great living doing what I love:  Portrait and Wedding Photography.  And I discovered very early, that, in order to make a great deal of money in portrait and wedding photography, I had to become a MASTER  MARKETER AND SELLER.

On the subject of photography marketing, here are 7 secrets I have found to be very powerful and effective for both Online marketing such as websites, email marketing, etc.  and off line marketing such as sales letters, advertisements, etc.:

1. The more you tell, the more you sell.  Longer copy, if well written and interesting, almost always outsells shorter copy.

The key here is to be INTERESTING in all your marketing, to your “Target Market.”  The absolute killer is to be BORING.   So for me, my target market consists of what I call “Female Warm Fuzzies” – women who love their family and value photography and all the things sensitive photography can capture.

So I want to always talk in terms of warm, sensitive, emotional terms that she will really find wonderfully interesting.

2.  Always have a double readership path.  Some people are readers, others are skimmers.  Write for both types.  Use lots of bolded “subheads” which contain the main BENEFITS of your message.

Really what this means is you’re going to have other “headlines” scattered throughout the webpage or sales letter or ad.  These smaller headlines are known as “subheads” – and they are usually in slightly smaller type than the main headline at the top of the page, but still larger than the regular “body type” used on the page.

3. The headline is the most important part of your marketing message .  Without a doubt, the headline must stop your target market dead in her tracks.  That’s its job.  It must contain a clear benefit.  It must get her to read the first sentence of the message (and then continue on from there, of course.)

So work hard on that headline, it’s very important.  And NEVER write anything that doesn’t have a headline.  It’s the “ad” for your ad, webpage or sales letter.

4.  Talk in terms of benefits – always benefits.  What’s in it for her?  Why should she contact you now?   What will she miss out on if she does not contact you right now?

Is there some special reason for her to take action right now, such as a discounted special price for example.  Just keep asking yourself, as you’re writing the webpage, or the sales letter, “What’s in it for her?”

5.  Stories sell, facts only tell.  Always include a few emotional stories (since people invest in photography for emotional reasons.)

Women who are “Warm Fuzzies” usually like stories – emotional stories – that they can relate to and empathize with.

6.  Always play up the guarantee – it’s very important.  The easiest way to get someone to respond to you is to give them an iron clad guarantee which removes all the risk from them, and places it firmly on you.

I have done this for my entire career – if my clients don’t LOVE their photographs, if they aren’t THRILLED, I will either do whatever is necessary to see to it they are thrilled, or I will give them all their money back.  And there will be no hard feelings or hassles, either.

7. The most important thing in marketing your photography is to be persuasive, not just pretty.  Photographers miss this one all the time.  We like pretty.  We’re “artists.”  But in marketing, pretty isn’t nearly as important as persuasive.

So don’t just make your web pages and ads pretty – but use everything I’ve talked about here to make them PERSUASIVE.    Use lots of emotional words.  Not just attractive photographs.  The days where just making an ad or a sales letter pretty – and having it work well, are long gone.

Use these 7 powerful marketing secrets as a checklist for everything you do that has anything to do with marketing your photography services.  They have served me extremely well, and they will do the same for you.

{ How a Calculating List of Contacts Works }

Posted by | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 27-10-2009

You’ve probably never thought about calculating contacts but you do it all the time! Let’s say you’re going to have a meeting. In your head you think; I need to invite Sam and Jill from Marketing, in Engineering I want Mike but definitely not Nick, and finally Matt, Tammy and Sue from production.

There, you are calculating contacts. You chose people from various groups (departments), included some and excluded others. That is how calc{list}® works too.

Calc{list} is a list of people: your contacts. The list name defines the group, category, task, activity, or stage people are in. The lists can be combined to make new dynamic lists that automatically calculate to a new group of people.

calc_people_groupscalc_people_calc

Take a look at the calc{list} in edit mode below. Notice that the {Newsletter} contains both contacts and other (nested) lists such as {Customers}. Additionally, some lists are marked to indicate how they should be calculated. For example, contacts in {Opt Out} are to be excluded from the final list.

On the right is the {Newsletter} after it has been calculated. The thing to remember is that a calculated list always returns only one instance of a contact. So if a contact is in several of the lists, contained in the edit area, the contact will still only appear once in the final calculated list.

EDIT MODE                                                    CALCULATED

Pretty simple, right? Now let’s dig a little deeper and look at how lists can be Static or Dynamic. If there were only contacts listed in the {Newsletter} edit area the list would be considered static because after calculation the list would never change without re-editing the contacts in the edit area again.

However, our {Newsletter} is dynamic because it contains other nested lists. This is exciting because what this means is that when we add new contacts to the {Customers} list our {Newsletter} list is re-calculate automatically and includes the new contacts. List management has never been this easy!

Are you starting to see how powerful calculating lists can be? We’ll be exploring, many more usefull applications for calc{list} within the organization.

One-Line Bio

Bob Lancaster if the founder of Infusion Logic, LLC and the creator of the patent pending software system call calc{list}®.

Introduction

My field of expertise is technology. What I enjoy and have spent many years doing is helping experts, like yourself, use technology to better accomplish the tasks they are asked to deliver each day.

On the technical side I have been a software developer, designer and project manager; and on the business side an IT director, technology consultant and business owner. I began my professional career as the first personal computers were introduced to the business world. Yes, I’m that old!

I’m one of those closet geeks that likes to be the first to understand a new technology and help others benefit from it. My years in the industry have taught me the rewards and perils of technology implementation which makes me keenly aware of the challenges that you face.

In my articles I will show you practical ways to take advantage of a totally new technology called calc{list}. Several years ago I realized the huge untapped potential that exists in our everyday contacts. Contacts have many more uses than just being part of our address book or a static marketing list of potential customers. Calc{list} was born from this realization.
