It’s not in your best interest to think that you can, or should, do all the tasks involved in running, marketing and managing your business

If it isn’t a strength, get it off your plate. Maximize your time doing what you do best or activities that directly increase your revenue like marketing!

And the key to doing that is to overcome your objections to outsourcing.

“I can’t afford to hire someone.” — You can’t afford NOT to outsource things that you aren’t good at or don’t enjoy. How much time and energy are you spending on them? Measure the value by determining your hourly rate. Then compare what you’re “spending” to pay yourself to do tasks versus what it would cost to outsource them.

“Not doing it myself means I’m lazy.” — Let go of that Puritan work ethic. Lazy is defined as “having an aversion to work or effort,” which isn’t the same as being selective about how you spend your time.

“No one else will do it correctly.” — This one may seem true, but it’s also self defeating! Ask yourself, “What’s the positive intention of holding onto the belief that no one else can do something as good as I can?” Then address that positive intention in a way that doesn’t require you to be the one to take on every task.

~ Tip ~ The most profitable way to spend your time is on those activities that support your two businesses – marketing your services and delivering your services. Anthing else is passed on to someone else.

First of all, I’d like to thank MiNeeds for giving us the chance to publish our articles and providing a text editor that has good features. However, we may sometimes have a good article somewhere in our computer that would look great in this section. The problem is: Copy & paste does not work for this purpose. You may have noticed that when you copy-paste your article from your computer, the preview shows code and plain text.

Here’s a tip if you use Word:

• Open your document and do a Save as…

• Save the document as pdf.

• Open you pdf copy of the document with the Reader.

• From the Tools tab, select Select & Zoom. Then, Snapshot Tool.

• Drag the tool to take a snapshot of the first page and save it in My documents.

• Do the same with every page of your article.

• In the Write your article section in MiNeeds, under Content, select Insert image (blue link on the right hand side above the text editor).

• Upload and insert each page of your article as a picture.

Book Review – The 45 Second Presentation by Don Failla

I’ve read this book once and find myself re-reading it. This book is our team’s “bible” for sponsoring and building our business into a STRONG organization, not one that is a fly-by-night operation.

Also, this book opened my eyes to the concept of owning my life so that my actions agree with my thoughts. Higher self-esteem and assertiveness are two things this book addresses and is useful for anyone wanting to build a strong organization.
