			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Few things are more discouraging to a passionate entrepreneur than creating products and programs that don’t sell well. </p>
<p>It’s hard not to take it personally, which can bring up feelings of doubt, hurt, disappointment and even embarrassment. But for the savvy, “I’m gonna make it happen” business owner, there’s no such thing as failure – there’s only feedback.</p>
<p>When the feedback you get is an audience that’s not buying, it’s time to take a look at the offer you’re making.</p>
<p>There are two levels to creating a compelling offer. I want to share some of the tips from my Passion for Profit coaching program on what you can do in the development stage to ensure that you’re creating an offer your audience won’t be able to resist. (Then, next time in Part 2 we’ll look at how to present the offer in the most desirable light.)</p>
<p><strong>Here are four clear-cut and simple tips you can use to be certain you’re putting your time and energy into offers that will get snapped up!</p>
<p>Irresistible Offer Tip #1 – Make Sure It’s a Really Desirable Topic</p>
<p></strong>It’s tempting to create a product or program focused on something you know your audience needs. My advice – don’t do it. People are notorious for not buying what they <u>need</u>, but instead spending their money on what they <u>want</u>. I call this the broccoli vs. ice cream syndrome. </p>
<p>When in doubt about whether the topic you’re considering is ice cream or broccoli, ask your audience. Pick up the phone, send out an email, put together a survey. You’ll be surprised at how happy they are to steer you in the right direction.</p>
<p><strong>Irresistible Offer Tip #2</strong><strong> – Give It a Mouth-Watering Title</p>
<p></strong>Titles (like headlines and subject lines) serve an absolutely crucial role in your sales and marketing &#8211; they capture your audience’s attention. The goal, of course, is for your title to create a powerful incentive for your potential client to want to buy. So it has to reach out and grab them and motivate them into action.</p>
<p>So spend some time on crafting a really delicious title for your product, program, event, workshop, ebook or home study course. Some tips for a great title: it’s specific, it is conversational rather than salesy, it’s curiosity-provoking, it highlights benefits and results rather than features, it’s not overly clever or cute.</p>
<p>I usually recommend to my clients they spend at least as much time on the title as they do on the content itself. Yes, it’s <u>that</u> important!</p>
<p><strong>Irresistible Offer Tip #3</strong><strong> – Add On a Tempting and Relevant Bonus</p>
<p></strong>For me, the key word here is “relevant.” Adding a bonus (or two or three) can certainly increase the appeal of your package. But too often, I see folks throwing on things that are totally unrelated to the main offer. The point of a bonus is to give that extra nudge that tips people off the fence. If I’m considering your business building program, I’m not likely to be swayed by a bonus e-book on organic recipes or an audio about feng shui. (Not that those aren’t interesting and valuable subjects in the right context.)</p>
<p>The best bonus directly supports the results offered by the main package component. Ask yourself: Would this [whatever the bonus is] clearly add to the value of what I’m getting? If the answer is no, head back to the drawing board. </p>
<p><strong>Irresistible Offer Tip #4</strong><strong> – Determine the Value Before You Set the Price</p>
<p></strong>Price is often the first thing business owners want to figure out when they’re creating a new product, program or event. But as I counsel my clients, it’s usually the last phase of your program-development process.</p>
<p>Here’s why – it’s hard to determine a fair price until you’re clear on what is being offered, both in terms of “deliverables” and results. Secondly, other factors can come into play as you determine the “magic number.” There are times when it makes strategic sense to price a program on the low end. For example, if it’s a new –and untried- offering (it then becomes paid learning), or so you can draw more people into it and have a bigger pool for your upsell offer.</p>
<p><strong>Tie Your Offers Up with a Red Ribbon</p>
<p></strong>Your special brand of transformation is important in helping your clients solve their current challenges. The content of what you offer is always showcased by the “wrapping” you give it. When you think strategically and creatively about your topic, title, bonuses and pricing, you can create a “pretty package” that’s easy for them to say ‘yes’ to.</p>

Many patients give me all their questions about dental procedures, and they&#8217;ve been wanting to go to their dentist for such procedures. But they haven&#8217;t. It could be that they would really like to go and give their dentist money for the procedure, but it&#8217;s still not that urgent for them. Or also, it could be that they just keep forgetting! In the managing dentist practices, you should be able to come up with some techniques on how to get more case acceptance from your dental patients. Here are some techniques on managing your dentist practices to get more case acceptance.</p>
<p>Remind Your Patients Constantly</p>
<p>In managing dentist practices, you need to follow up your patients with multiple mailings, postcards, etc., to constantly remind them. Contact your past patients, tell them that you have a new service. Or, you can tell them that you want to get together for their 6 month recall. Start as soon as you can! This costs only a little. You will start getting people calling for their recall, which will reactivate them and get them in so you can help them with any other inquiries and concerns they have.</p>
<p>Describe What You Do In Terms Of What You Do</p>
<p>In your practice, you must stop describing what you do, in terms of what you sell! ( Just like saying, “Well, I&#8217;m a dentist who does cosmetic work&#8230; or I have my own dental practice&#8230;”).Rather, you must start describing what you do, in terms of what you do! Therefore, what you say should be something like, “ I help people have a healthier, whiter, more beautiful smile.”, or, &#8221; I assist people in getting cleaner, healthier teeth while they experience pain-free dentistry.” Saying these will be very helpful in managing your dentist practices. The big challenge is really from your end, on how you think about yourself. You have to totally re-frame how you think of what you do! The important thing here in dentist practices is that people don&#8217;t care about what you do; they want to know about the emotional benefits that it will give them.</p>
<p>Use The Power Of The Internet</p>
<p>Coming up with a creative website will also be very helpful in managing your dentist practices. Be creative when you make your own dental practice website. With your website, you should be able to have more traffic coming into your page ( or in other words, have more flow of people or visitors coming in to check out your webpage). Remember that every visit counts! Any visitor can become your patient. Make use of good keywords. Use specific keywords (like dentist, practices, etc.) Doing this, you will be able to dominate your competitors online! When people log on to the Internet and search answers for their dental concerns, you would want your own dental site to be displayed all over the Internet&#8217;s search engine. So, whether your visitors would look up, down, to the left or to the right, you would want every door to lead to you!</p>
<p>To recap, in getting more case acceptance in your dentist practices, first, keep reminding your patients through multiple mailings, etc.; second, start describing what you do, in terms of what you do; and third, make use of the power of the Internet. <p> 4. When you sell a product, give your customers the option of joining an affiliate program so they can make commissions selling your product. This will multiply the sale you just made.</p>
<p> 5. Sell the reprint/reproduction rights to your products. You could include an ad on or with the product for other products you sell. You could make sales for the reproduction rights and sales on the back end product.</p>
<p> 6. You could cross promote your product with other businesses&#8217; products in a package deal. You can include an ad or flyer for other products you sell and have other businesses selling for you.</p>
<p> 7. When you ship out or deliver your product, include a coupon for other related products you sell in the package. This will attract them to buy more products from you.</p>
<p> 8. Send your customers a catalog of add-on products for the original product they purchased. This could be upgrades, special services, attachments, etc. If they enjoy your product they will buy the extra add-ons.</p>
<p> 9. Sell gift certificates for your products. You&#8217;ll make sales from the purchase of the gift certificate, when the recipient cashes it in. They could also buy other items from your web site.</p>
<p> 10. Send your customers free products with their product package. The freebies should have your ad printed on them. It could be bumper stickers, ball caps, t-shirts etc. This will allow other people to see your ad and order.</p>

If you sell people by force and something they do not really want or need or can benefit them they will not be satisfied and by doing so you are putting yourself down. Helping and giving value and solutions that will benefit others is what will make you a 3% leader and an authority in front of others because they will know you gave them and helped them ad for doing so they will take care of you in return. They have shared the benefits of being in the Gold and Gold Plus team and how it made them achieve their goals in one of our dental marketing seminars. And in one of our dental marketing seminars, they have shared how being in the team has molded them into better individuals in their own practice. And this is something that we focus specifically at our dental marketing website!</p>

<p>* “ I think one of the biggest things is I&#8217;m no longer worried about money; I&#8217;m no longer worried about staff; I spend time with my family; I know what my wife looks like and I can identify my kids! You see, it&#8217;s a nice thing to have, because as we did more tracking we found out more. Being in the Gold team really improves your life beyond your wildest dreams! ”</p>
<p>* “ You have to be here surrounded at all the Gold meetings and every event that&#8217;s an “Ed O&#8217; Keefe event” with like-minded people. And then it helps because you come to these meetings, you bring your team, and you get so inspired, and then you go back, you do stuff, and then life sets in soccer practice, in basketball practice, and you get off track. It does inspire you, it keeps you on track, it keeps your mind focused, because when you go back and you say “I&#8217;m doing this!”, there will be people who will tell you you&#8217;re not&#8230; that “you&#8217;re wasting too much money&#8230;”, “you&#8217;re wasting too much time&#8230;”, “it&#8217;s not gonna happen&#8230;”, “people have tried it&#8230;”, etc. My advise to you is don&#8217;t listen to these people. Listen to this group that Ed has because we&#8217;re all thinking alike and it does work because we&#8217;re all here and we&#8217;ve all done it! So I think the Gold team has really helped keeping me in focus to stay positive and stay moving so I keep getting things accomplished! ”</p>
<p>* “ Being in a rural area, I&#8217;ve done TV since 1993 and then radio which I have also done recently. But you know everyone sees my picture and me talking and it draws a lot of patients; and its great! But what that leads to is that all of my colleagues in the practice hate me. The people that I know in the Gold Group would hand me anything that they done which they have spent hours on, and they would say “ Well, here it is!”. And to have that kind of resource and to have that in motion, that comes from knowing the people in the group, and you cannot duplicate that. I&#8217;ve never been in a group that duplicates that type of a relationship anywhere. You will not see that anywhere. And in two years, I have developed some very close friendships. ”</p>
<p>* “ We came into Ed&#8217;s group as a business thing. We wanted a better practice. And what we got out of it are the friendship and the support of great people. People always ask me “When did things change for you?”, “When did you decide to do this?”, and things like that. Before, I didn&#8217;t know that I was running away from something I didn&#8217;t like. My practice was not what I wanted to do, I was stressed out, but I knew we could do better. They will show you the good benefits that they got from the newsletters for their dental advertising. And this is something that we focus specifically at our dental advertising website! In addition to this, they will also tell you about the patient appreciation event that they held for their patients&#8230; and how successful it was as an event!</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s what the doctors from Smile Staten Island will share to you about their direct response newsletter for their dental advertising and their patient appreciation event:</p>
<p>In our dental practice, we do a “direct response newsletter” for our dental advertising, and we produce these ourselves, and we also take some content from Ed O&#8217; Keefe&#8217;s newsletters. Our direct response newsletter introduces new patients to our office, keeps patients up-to-date with our monthly offers, opportunities, upgrades, and quizzes which people respond to. We just came up with a new idea about spotlighting certain patients, because we&#8217;re still like a small community made up of a lot of small businesses. So in an effort to try to help each other out, in our direct response newsletter we&#8217;re going to spotlight one of our patients and their practice or businesses, and then also it&#8217;s open for them if they want to put an offer in it as well! So, its like “cross-advertising” and we&#8217;re helping each other out. It&#8217;s definitely an excellent vehicle. We got a lot of good comments on our newsletter; on how people enjoy it and how they&#8217;re looking forward to it. We also do a “new resident mailer”. Actually it&#8217;s a letter for a new resident, signed by one of our hygienists, and it has a coupon in it. Over the past year, the cost of producing this and sending it out (or its yearly cost) has been $3,240.00, the production over the course of that year is $62, 648.00. Needless to say, that&#8217;s a good one!</p>
<p>Recently, we also had our “patient appreciation event”. Our goal initially was to do a patient appreciation event and push ourselves into another uncomfortable scenario, and Ed told us: “Just do it!”, and we really pulled it off! We had about 60 to 70 individuals there in the event. We had patients who brought their friends with them, which was really terrific! We just looked to have a good time and gather some testimonials as well, and we gathered 15 testimonials. We actually had 1 live video testimonial from a patient who got up in front of the entire group and that patient was saying out praises! So, we&#8217;re going to try and leverage those testimonials in that live video from now until the end of time in whatever pieces and newsletters we produce for our dental advertising. And we&#8217;re sure that we&#8217;re going to get a lot of life out of this! We also had a prize wheel for the gift baskets, and also “dental bucks” which went over really big. In addition, we also had solos accompanied by an organist and violinist, and it was also well-received. We also had a guest speaker, Boro Historian, and all patients received a copy of his book, with which everyone was appreciative of. There were a bunch of thankful patients, and we sent “Thank you” letters and special VIP referral cards to all our attendees. Patients who went to the event asked us: “When are you going to do it again? It&#8217;s really terrific!”, and the patients who didn&#8217;t go actually said “When are you having the next one?”. So it was a really great event, and we&#8217;re looking forward to potentially pull this off at least once a year, or we may have to push ourselves to do it twice a year&#8230; because it&#8217;s just that great!

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In the world of direct selling, everyone is always trying to build a better mousetrap: a faster way to recruit, an even better compensation plan, amazing, instant leads, and a &#8220;Win&#8221; button. In reality, the core values and principles of direct selling have not changed in 100 years. It&#8217;s the technology and business processes that continue to evolve in order to better support these core values.</p>
<p>Most people simply want to belong to something that is good; something that recognizes and values them for their hard work, will praise them when they do well and will pick them up and encourage them when they are down. And yes, will pay them for their efforts.</p>
<p>Being this support structure has been, and continues to be at the core for all successful direct selling companies.<br />Technology and business processes continue to evolve in order to make it easier to provide a high level of service to your people. This should be the main goal for a company: making it easier to do business.</p>
<p>How do you make sure you are providing the best service? Build trust with your sales people, especially your leaders, and most importantly, listen to them. The people working the business will usually give you the best ideas of what processes need to be modified or where change needs to be made. If the biggest complaint is late deliveries, fix that problem first. Don&#8217;t give them another exciting toy that IT or marketing came up with when they are saying the biggest challenge is your shipping process.</p>
<p>When you ask your sales people what you can do to better their selling experience, often times the responses will be along the lines of &#8220;Get this tool&#8221;, &#8220;Work like this company&#8221;, or &#8220;Have these bonuses&#8221;. It is important to work past these replies to get a better understanding of what the real problems are. Otherwise, you run the risk of complicating things by offering the wrong solutions.</p>
<p>The party plan business model is successful because it blends fun activities and social networking with product sales and promotional opportunities. The beginner consultant is faced with numerous challenges when launching their first parties. Here are some examples of challenges you might face and suggestions of how to find efficient solutions.</p>
<p>Challenge:</p>
<p>One of the most common party plan challenges is the failure to invite enough guests to a gathering (party, show, event, etc.). The hostess may only want to invite a small number of people because he/she is concerned about having too many people attend and not being able to seat everyone. The reality is the potential that only two out of the seven people invited are able to attend the event. This results in the party not qualifying for hostess rewards or compensation for the sponsoring consultant. One or two of these &#8220;flops&#8221; and there is risk of the consultant giving up before he/she has a chance for success.</p>
<p>Potential Solution:</p>
<p>Have a simple training program or process to inform and educate new Consultants. Don&#8217;t rely on your Consultants to be the teacher. Lend a hand and help coach both the Consultant and hostess by providing advice and suggestions on how to be successful. Pamphlets, brochures, or videos are only a few ways to provide that information to your distributors and hostesses.</p>
<p>Challenge:</p>
<p>Consultants and party hostesses are unhappy with the administration time needed to enter and submit orders from a party. The consultants also feel their hourly earnings are reduced because of the time it takes to enter a party order. This causes a level of disappointment and takes time away from their personal life (and more free time was one of the benefits of being your consultant, right?).</p>
<p>Potential Solution:</p>
<p>Have a simple order entry process that allows the consultant or hostess to enter the information quickly. The emphasis here is on the simplicity of the order entry process and not a solution designed by your marketing department, who are often looking for an opportunity to bring in the latest and greatest complex gadgets. Your consultants may value speed of entry over having a digital barometer available on the order page. The real solution is most likely in the middle of widget-rich and spreadsheet basic. The key is listening to your consultants. If you are trying to establish a $25/hour opportunity for the new consultant, saving them time on the administration part of the business is much less expensive then changing your compensation structure.</p>
<p>These are pretty straight forward resolutions to common problems that you may have.  The reality is life isn&#8217;t usually as simple, but things are easier to begin once you have a starting point. The key is to understand the core values of the direct selling industry and make sure your company is aligned with them. Once this is done, start to build trust with your field, starting with your leaders. Ask questions and listen to understand, not to confirm what you think you know. Make sure new consultants are factored into your plans, processes and business solutions, prioritize the issues and knock them out!</p>
